Child & Family
Services
Therapeutic Support Program (TSP)
Workers are on-site in each of the school districts
to provide mental health services to children who are severely emotionally
disturbed, and to provide consultation and assistance to special
education teachers and staff. Services include crisis assistance,
development of independent daily living sills, parent education and
support, individual and family leisure and recreational skills, medication
monitoring, and arranging respite care. Clients are children with
a severe emotional disturbance and special education needs and are
referred by school districts. The goal of the program is to maintain
children in the school when possible, and to limit the need for special
education services for individual children.
